In order to have a great candle experience, you will need to have the correct burning, care and maintenance. See our candle care tips below for information on maintaining a great candle.
Soy has a memory! This means that the way and amount of time you burn the candle can affect its look.Because of this, the first burn in the most important burn, ensure that your first burn is for four hours and the melted wax reaches the edge of the container. This stops tunneling of the candle which we definitely do not want! Tunneling means the candle will burn along a smaller circumference which is less candle for your money and less hot throw (circulation of the candle scent - as this decreases based on burning circumference).
After burning, we recommend that you let the wax cool for at least two hours before relighting.
Burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time!
Keep your wick trimmed to 5mm before lighting to prevent high flames.
Make sure the wax pool is clear of any debris such as wick trimmings and matches from your burn.
Snuffers are great to use for extinguishing the candle flame once you finish burning, it prevents problems associated with the hot wax.
When your candle isn't in use, store in a cool dry place and protect the wax from dust.
